Low Country Four piece Tickets

Americana and rock Out of [set your home town] Booking: [set your agent]

Tonight's set, taped to the wedge

Low Country is a four piece that plays about [set your number] nights a year, mostly in rooms that hold fewer than four hundred people. This page is the sheet that goes on the monitor before doors. Open any line and the song opens with it: where it came from, a player you press to bring SoundCloud or Spotify in, where else to stream it, and the room it went over well in first.

The set, in order

Six lines

The music lives where you already put it. Each row carries a player panel drawn in our own type, holding a [set your track URL] slot; set that one URL, a SoundCloud track or a Spotify track, album or playlist, and the row plays here, with the platform named on the row's plate. Until somebody presses one of those controls this page requests nothing from SoundCloud, Spotify or anyone else: no frame, no script, no cookie. Nothing on this page makes a sound until you press something, and the control says what pressing it will do.

  1. Written on US 441 between Athens and Dillsboro after the alternator went and we sat on the shoulder for five hours. It opens the set because it is the only song where the drums start alone and the room has to get quiet to hear it.

Sixty miles of nothing and a radio that hums Every mile marker counting what we owe I have been awake since Tuesday and the sun keeps coming up On a road that only goes the way we go Sample lyric

First played: [set the room], Athens, Georgia, 12 March 2024 Sample

  2. Named for the block in Asheville where our bass player lived over a laundromat for two years. It is the shortest thing we have and it goes second because it buys us the room before anybody has decided anything.

Third floor walk up over a dryer that never stops Warm all winter, useless in July You said you would leave in April and you did And the street kept its name Sample lyric

  3. Our grandfather worked the rail spur south of Charleston and this is most of what he told us about it, which was not much. The middle section is different every night, which is the honest reason it sits third and not last.

He signed on at seventeen for the pay and the boots Came home smelling like creosote and rain Never said a word about the work he did Only where the line went Sample lyric

  4. A storm came through our drummer's parents' place in Beaufort County and took the roof off the shed but left the house. Everyone writes a flood song eventually; we tried to write the one about what does not get taken.

Shed roof in the pines, tin sheet in the ditch House stood, dog fine, phone lines out a week We counted what was left and it was almost everything Which is not the same as nothing lost Sample lyric

  5. Built out of a riff our guitarist played for eleven months before anyone would let him put words on it. It goes here because it is the last chance to lose the room and we would rather find that out early.

Pump four, card declined, moon coming up over Tulsa Two hundred miles to a bed we did not book Turn it up, the tank is full, nobody is asleep Nothing hurts until Thursday Sample lyric

  6. We wrote this to have something to end on that was not a big finish, because we do not do encores and people need to know the night is over. If a room sings the last line back, we come back to that room.

Load out at one, doors locked at two Somebody bought the drummer a coffee for the road We will come back through in the spring if you will have us Keep the porch light on Sample lyric

Every date below is sample routing. Ticket links point at [set your ticketing], one link per row, no aggregator in the middle. Status is set by hand when the room tells us, and any date that falls behind today gets restamped as played rather than left up selling a night that already happened.

Not coming to you yet

Tell us the town and we will tell the booking agent. We route around the towns that ask, because a promoter believes a list more than they believe us.

Scripts are off in this browser, so this form will hand your answers straight to your mail app instead of writing them out here. If no mail window opens, nothing is lost: write to booking@lowcountry.example or call [set your number]. With scripts off, this page keeps no copy of anything you type.

While you type, this page keeps a copy of these three answers in your own browser so a closed tab does not lose them. Sending deletes that copy, and so does clearing this site's data.

04 / Story

How this got here

Four people, one wedding

We met working the same wedding band circuit around [set your home town] and quit it inside a year, mostly because we were tired of learning other people's key changes. The first Low Country show was a Tuesday in a room with a broken PA and nineteen people in it, and eleven of them were related to the drummer.

The van

A [set your van] with the middle bench out and a plywood shelf where it used to be. It has been to [set your number] states and has never once been broken into, which we mention only because everybody asks and the honest answer is that nothing in it is worth taking.

The record

Cut live over four days at [set your studio] with [set your engineer] running the room, three takes a song and the third one almost always wins. There are mistakes on it that we left because fixing them made the song sound like somebody else played it.

05 / Press kit

Everything a promoter asks for

Four files, in one place, so nobody has to email us at 11pm the night before a show. The plates below stand in for the real assets: point each button at your own file and delete the placeholder note.

06 / Letters

The list is the only thing we own

Scripts are off in this browser, so this form will hand your answers straight to your mail app instead of writing them out here. If no mail window opens, write to hello@lowcountry.example with the word "letters" and that does the same job. With scripts off, this page keeps no copy of anything you type.

While you type, this page keeps a copy of these three answers in your own browser so a closed tab does not lose them. Sending deletes that copy, and so does clearing this site's data.

What actually gets sent: a short letter when a routing goes on sale near you, a short letter when a record is finished, and nothing else. That has worked out to roughly [set your frequency] a year.

Nobody is buying this list and nothing here is wired to an analytics account. Until you connect a mailing provider, submitting composes an email in your own client and we add you by hand, which is slow and completely honest.

Leaving is one line back to hello@lowcountry.example and takes about a day, because a person does it.
